Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying the source of problems and proposing solutions to the development team.
- Learning applications in the Office technology environment.
- Working with developers and team leads to design & implement appropriate test automation framework.
- Conduct multi browser/device testing using open source tools.
- Work closely with the development team to create a continuous integration environment running automated tests for each build.
- Primary role is to support customer test case design development and, test case execution activities. This includes answering questions, providing feedback and gathering feedbacks for the Managed Services team.
- Attend scrum stand ups, sprint planning, task estimation meetings with the Development Team.
- Writing test automation framework from scratch and enhancing the existing ones as appropriate to testing requirements
- Leading and being ‘hands on’ in manual test execution.
- Collaborating with developers to analyse defects, verify behaviour, and resolve issues.
- Identify automation requirements and create regression packs.
- Create detailed performance test reports and circulate to the Development Teams whilst help identify any bottlenecks.
- Provide automation metrics to support and feed into test and quality reports.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2+ Years of Software Testing experience.
- Must have bachelor’s degree as a minimum and UK master’s degree will be a plus.
- Strong experience in Functional, Regression, System Integration testing, User acceptance testing.
- Extensive knowledge of testing lifecycle and core testing process/ techniques using different test approaches.
- Excellent knowledge in testing skills (provide estimations, design test plan and test strategy, writing test scenarios, cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs).
- Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration testing.
- Good Knowledge on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle(STLC).
- Knowledge of client-side performance factors and key metrics.
- Designing performance testing scenarios using an industry standard toolset.
- Understanding of service-oriented architectures & distributed computing concepts
- Need to be an excellent team worker with good communication skills
Desirable Skills for the role:
- Experience on Project or Business Management is a plus
- Strong experience on Selenium automation with C# and Java.
- Strong experience on T-SQL Scripting and ETL Database testing.
- Hands-on experience in Testing framework, continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Hudson, bug tracking tools like Bugzilla and Jira.
